If your insurer is not listed?
If your insurance is not listed above, or if you do not have supplementary physiotherapy coverage, the rates in the Treatment Costs table apply. You pay for your treatment upfront. Within one working day you receive an invoice that can be submitted to your insurer for reimbursement. Most Dutch insurers reimburse 60–100% of the treatment cost, depending on the level of supplementary coverage in your plan.
Do you need a referral?
In the Netherlands you do not need a referral from a GP to see a physiotherapist. You can book an appointment directly. Some insurers may still request a referral for reimbursement of specific conditions; check the terms of your supplementary policy if you are unsure.
